GREAT NEWS! :-)

Hello Everyone, Stout here!  I wanted to catch you up on some GREAT NEWS that my I got the other day!

I should start by telling you, a few weeks back our Mommy took us to the vet for our annual appointment.  Our vet, Dr. Adams, said that we looked great for our age, but that I had a couple little problems she wanted to take care of.

I needed my teeth cleaned, because they had a lot of tartar and I picked up a bacterial infection from my dirty teeth :-/  I felt OK, but Dr. Adams was not happy with my blood work.  So, a couple weeks ago I had to spend the entire day at the vets office.  I was scared because my Mommy had never left me there by myself before.  After I was finished getting my teeth cleaned, my Mommy picked me up, but I was still feeling a bit "oooggy" from my teeth cleaning. Mommy was a little nervous about how wobbly I was walking that night, but I felt much better the next day.

So for the past couple weeks, I have been taking a pill at each meal, breakfast and dinner.  I don't like to take pills, so my Mommy hides them in cheese or peanut butter.  I really like peanut butter! Dr. Adams said the pills would help to get rid of the infection I had from my dirty teeth.

On Saturday, I had to go back to the vet. I was very unhappy when I saw that was where we were going, so I tried to pull Mommy the other way so she would not take me inside.  But, she did take me inside and I had to go to the back room with a nice lady named Emily.  Emily took some blood from my neck with a needle.  I REALLY didn't like that!  Emily was very gentle and gave me lots of treats, so I liked her gave her kisses and hugs before I left.

Now for the GREAT NEWS!  Dr. Adam called my Mommy the other day to tell her that my blood work came back from the lab and looked GREAT!  My infection is GONE and I do not have to go back to the vet for another few months (I was very happy to hear that!).
